Biblical Studies
Biblical this quarter was learning about parables from the Bible, first we learned about each of the parables in the book of Matthews. Then we start creating a poster and we presented in front of class, with our friends asking questions and Pak Agung as well. Then we were assigned to do exercises. After learning the book of Matthew, we learn to the next book which is the book of Mark. I learned that I must apply the meaning of each parables into my life.
Gospel of Mark Exercise 2
1. Jesus is explain by Mark as “God in the flesh”. What does it mean?
2. The Gospel of Mark records the fact that Jesus disciples found it hard to understand whom Jesus really was. Explain the difficulties showed by the disciples.
3. Relates to number 2, we sometimes also find it difficult to believe that Jesus is God and Savior. What makes it hard for us to understand that? How can you over come the difficulties?
6. Explain why Jesus is called “the King of all kings and the Lord of all lords”? What does it mean to you personally?
Answer
1. Based on the article, what I discovered about “God in the Flesh” is that it means that Jesus was God in the flesh. Which it means that Jesus was part of God. It also can be told as Jesus is God but in human form, where he do everything God wanted. Jesus lived on earth, he told his followers, the crowds, religious leaders and he the people accused he was the son of God. It is all God’s plan, where he send his only Son to change the whole world, where Jesus his Son is a reflection of God in human form.
2. The disciples was hard thinking that Jesus was the Messiah, the Son of God, he thought that the saviour will come like a great and cool entrance to earth and use some cool powers. They did not expect the Messiah to be just a Man from Nazareth.
3. Yes, We sometimes have faced difficulty of believing that Jesus is the God and Saviour, because it is hard for me to understand and believe that he is the Saviour. Cause I did not see all his miracles, I just read his words and stories of him. I haven’t see or even feel all his miracles and teachings, it is hard to believe that if all of his doings are even real.
6. “The king of all kings and the lord of all lords” mean to me personally that Jesus is the King of all kings, where he has the highest ranks from all ranks and he is a special kind of rank. He is the highest Lord from all the Lords, there is no one who have no higher authority.
This is my best sample for Biblical Studies because this sample has a powerful meaning. Where as you read the questions and answers, it contains such a prideful meaning. It talks about Jesus, where how the God in the Flesh means, was it hard to believe that Jesus was the Messiah? do we face difficulty of Believing in Jesus? what does the kings of all kings mean? From this exercise, we can learn a lot, to just keep believing in Christ cause he is real do not find difficulties in believing in HIM because he is REAL. I can improve this example to even give more meaningful answer to realize what it truly means.
AOI:
This quarter we identified our roles and responsibility as children of god through the parable that was assigned to each one of us. After that we designed an artwork that virtually explains the bible verse. It is to resolve the issue of people that is too lazy to read the bible. We then reflect our artwork by explaining our personal responsibility and ethics to our classmates
